Leadership Resources

"A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way."

John C. Maxwell

"I would rather lose in a cause that will one day win, than win in a cause that will one day lose.”

Woodrow Wilson

Leadership is about knowing where you are going and being able to persuade other people to follow you.  It involves a vision for where to go that is good—good for you and good for your people to enjoy—and that obviously involves having good relationships.  Leadership is “done” or performed one-on-one, in small groups and in large groups. Good leadership is not easy, and often involves overcoming obstacles without all the resources one would like to have.  However, we love the proverb, “the most resistance many people fight is when they lay in the bathtub, pull out the plug and fight the current.”

You will likely find some resistance, at least some barriers to forming and keeping a local and witnessing Christian community of faculty flourishing.
