Academic Connections was founded to help promote the flourishing of Christian scholars and faculty world-wide. We use the Greek word Τέλοσ, which is typically translated as ‘end,' or ‘result' (aimed at), or ‘purpose,’ to describe what we are aiming for in ministry.
It is the mission—the Τέλοσ—οf Academic Connections to help create and resource an international network of Christian faculty and scholars, principally at secular institutions of higher learning.
We support those connections by helping them form local Christian academic communities and by encouraging healthy spiritual formation in those communities and networks.
We also encourage our networks to make cultural contributions, to advance cultural critique and we strongly support and provide resources for the creation of thoughtful expressions of Christian scholarship.
We believe that these activities contribute synergistically to the quality and intellectual diversity of those secular institutions.
